Cardiology Treatment Challenge

ROSC with Post-Arrest Hypotension · L1

How this exercise works

Drag ACLS interventions into the correct priority order for bradycardia, tachycardia, or arrest algorithms. Life-threatening rhythms get pacing, shock, or epinephrine before secondary steps.

Fundamental concept

Sequencing pacing, defibrillation, medications, and supportive care for bradycardia, tachycardia, and arrest rhythms.

Scenario

ROSC 2 minutes ago. HR 52, BP 74/40, cool clammy skin. 12-lead sinus bradycardia, no STEMI.

Drag items into priority order, highest priority at the top.

Available

Start vasopressor infusion (e.g., norepinephrine) if fluid insufficient
Confirm sustained ROSC and treat immediate post-arrest hypotension
Avoid hyperventilation; maintain EtCO₂ target
Cautious IV crystalloid bolus per protocol
Transport to post-arrest care center
