Symptomatic Bradycardia: ACLS Sequence · L1

How this exercise works

Drag ACLS interventions into the correct priority order for bradycardia, tachycardia, or arrest algorithms. Life-threatening rhythms get pacing, shock, or epinephrine before secondary steps.

Fundamental concept

Sequencing pacing, defibrillation, medications, and supportive care for bradycardia, tachycardia, and arrest rhythms.

Scenario

HR 38/min, BP 88/50, altered, dizzy. ECG: third-degree AV block. IV access established.

Drag items into priority order, highest priority at the top.

Available

Transport to facility capable of transvenous pacing
Prepare transcutaneous pacing if atropine ineffective
Identify symptomatic bradycardia and ensure airway/oxygenation
Consider epinephrine or dopamine infusion per protocol
Atropine 1 mg IV; may repeat to 3 mg total
