Cardiology Treatment Challenge

Unstable SVT — Cardioversion Pathway · L1

How this exercise works

Drag ACLS interventions into the correct priority order for bradycardia, tachycardia, or arrest algorithms. Life-threatening rhythms get pacing, shock, or epinephrine before secondary steps.

Fundamental concept

Sequencing pacing, defibrillation, medications, and supportive care for bradycardia, tachycardia, and arrest rhythms.

Scenario

Narrow-complex tachycardia 220/min, BP 76/40, chest pain, diaphoresis. Patient awake but acutely distressed.

Drag items into priority order — highest priority at the top.

Available

Synchronized cardioversion at manufacturer-recommended energy
Recognize unstable tachycardia with hypotension and ischemic symptoms
Resume monitoring; repeat cardioversion or antiarrhythmic if recurrent
Provide sedation/analgesia if possible without delaying care
Transport with continuous monitoring and 12-lead documentation
