Rhythm Recognition & 12-Lead ECG

Rate and Rhythm Identification · L1

How this exercise works

Match rhythm descriptions or ECG findings to the correct interpretation. Look for rate, regularity, P waves, QRS width, and ST-segment changes for STEMI clues.

Fundamental concept

Matching rate, regularity, waveforms, and ST-segment patterns to rhythm diagnoses and STEMI localization clues.

Scenario

Telemetry strips from the ED holding area. Match findings to the most likely rhythm.

Match each finding to the rhythm or diagnosis.

Irregularly irregular, no P waves, ventricular rate ~100/min (10 QRS in 6 sec)

Sawtooth flutter waves, regular QRS 150/min

P before every QRS, rate 72, normal intervals

Narrow QRS 180/min, P waves hidden, regular
